Privacy Policy

Buhgs is an independent brand selling the High-Contrast Baby Car Seat Camera. Our store and checkout run on Shopify, and the information you give us is used to complete your order and to answer your questions.

Order information. When you buy from us we collect your name, shipping address, email address, and the items you ordered so the camera can reach you.

Payment information. Card details are collected and processed by Shopify Payments. Buhgs never sees or stores your full card number.

Phone number. If you give us your mobile number on our waitlist or at checkout, we keep it so we can text you — most often to tell you when the camera goes on sale, or to send you an update about an order. We only text numbers that were given to us directly for that purpose.

Automatic data. Like most shops, we record basic technical information such as browser type, device, pages viewed, and referring site. This is used to understand what people look at and to keep the site working.

To fulfil your order and keep you informed about it, to provide support when you write to us, to improve the site and the product, and — only where you have asked for it — to send you updates about Buhgs by email or text.

If you joined the waitlist, that means telling you when the product launches, when founder pricing is open, and when something about your spot in line changes. Nothing else.

What you'll get. If you gave us your number, we'll text you when the product launches, when a restock or a founder price window opens, and occasionally about your order. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

Stopping. Reply STOP to any message and we'll stop texting that number. Reply HELP for help, or email hello@buhgs.com.

Consent isn't a condition of buying anything. You can order from Buhgs without ever giving us your phone number.

We use Klaviyo to send messages on our behalf. They process your number only to deliver what you asked for, and under the clause above they don't get to use or pass on your number or your consent for anything else.

Shopify runs our store, checkout and payments. Klaviyo sends our emails and text messages. A shipping carrier delivers your parcel. Meta receives limited information about visits and purchases so we can measure whether our ads work. Each of them only receives what it needs to do its job.

We do not sell your personal information.

Our store and checkout use cookies to remember what is in your cart and to keep you signed in while you shop. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the checkout will stop working as expected.

We also use measurement tools, including the Meta pixel, to understand which ads bring people to the site and whether those visits turn into orders. These send Meta a limited, usually encoded, record of pages you viewed and purchases you made. You can turn most of this off using your browser’s privacy settings or your ad preferences on the platforms themselves.

Order records are kept for as long as we are required to keep them for tax, accounting and warranty purposes.

A newsletter address or a waitlist phone number is kept until you ask us to remove it, or until you unsubscribe. If you reply STOP to a text we keep a minimal record that the number opted out, so that we don’t text it again by mistake.

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for corrections, or ask us to delete your information. Email hello@buhgs.com and tell us which one you want.

To stop texts, reply STOP to any message from us. To stop emails, use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email, or email us and we’ll take care of it.

If you subscribed by mistake, the same email removes you from every list.

Our site is written for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will remove it.

If we change how we handle information we will update this page and its “last updated” date. Material changes will be announced on the site.
